What you agree to, and what we promise

Version dated 2026-09-14. These terms are a contract between you and us for the use of RoleRelief. You agree to them when you upload a CV; the upload form asks you to. If you do not agree, do not upload a CV, and delete your account from Settings.

Who we are

Who runs this: still to be filled in

RoleRelief is a private preview run by its founder in Ireland. The company behind it is not formed yet, so we do not publish the legal name of the company, its registration number, its registered office address: we would rather say that than invent them. Until then, reply to any email you have had from us and a person will answer. The preview will not open to people we do not know until this box has been replaced with the real details.

Who can use it

The service is for people looking for work in Ireland or the UK. You must be at least 18, because the terms are a contract and the service will one day be paid for. Sign in is with your Google account; keep that account secure, because anyone who can use it can open your account here.

What the service is

You upload a CV once. A model reads it into a profile you check and correct. You set hard limits on place, work mode and level, and optional ones on salary, employment type and employers. We read public job feeds and two job APIs, keep only the postings that pass your limits, score the rest, check each one is still open, and send you at most 10 a week, at the number you choose. Every match carries its score, a breakdown, and the exact lines from your profile and the posting that earned it. You apply yourself, on the employer’s site.

These are rules of the product, not marketing, and the code is built to keep them:

  • Your limits are filters. A role outside them is never shown to you.
  • Nothing is sent without a check in the previous 24 hours that the posting is still open.
  • An empty week gets a one-line note, never filler.
  • We never apply on your behalf, never rewrite your CV, and never show it to an employer or a recruiter.
  • You can pause or delete everything from Settings or from any email we send, without signing in.

The matching is done by a model, and it can be wrong

The profile, the scores and the written reasons are produced by a large language model (Google’s Gemini, by default), not by a person. Each reason quotes your profile and the posting so you can check it, but the judgement behind the score is the model’s and it will sometimes be wrong: it can misread a CV, over-rate a role or miss a good one. Treat a match as a lead worth a look, not as advice, and treat the absence of a match as nothing more than that.

We make no decision about you for any employer. Nothing here is seen by an employer, and no employer decision is based on our score. If you think the model has misread you, correct your profile; if you think a match is wrong, mark it “not for me” and say why; and if you want a person to look, write to us.

Job postings are the employer's, not ours

Postings come from employers’ own public feeds and from job aggregators. We store the text, quote from it and link to it, but we did not write it and cannot vouch for it: a salary, a location or a closing date is what the employer said, and it can be out of date or wrong. Our liveness check confirms the posting was still up when we looked, and nothing more. The employer may close a role, change it or not reply, and we have no say in any of that.

What we ask of you

  • Upload your own CV, or one you have the owner’s permission to upload, and keep it truthful.
  • Leave out what we do not need: referees and their contact details, your date of birth, a photo, and anything about your health, disability, religion, ethnicity, sexuality, politics or union membership. The upload form asks you to.
  • One account per person. Do not share sign-in links or let anyone else use your account.
  • Do not scrape, probe, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to build a competing database of postings.

Your CV and your corrections stay yours. You give us permission to store them, read them with a model and use them to match you, and nothing else. That permission ends when you delete your account.

Price

The service is free during the preview and nothing in it can take a payment. When billing starts, the pricing page will say what it costs and the refunds page will say how cancelling and refunds work. We will email you before anyone is charged, and nobody is charged without agreeing first.

Getting in

Signing in creates an account, but it does not open it. We take people on a few at a time and approve each account by hand, so a new one waits until we have looked at it. While it waits you cannot upload a CV and nothing runs; we email you either way.

We can decide not to open an account, and we do not have to give a reason. If that happens, the only things we hold are your email address and the fact that you signed in, and the email we send carries a link that deletes both without signing in. You can write to us and we will read it.

Ending

You can pause at any time, which stops every run and every email and keeps your data, or delete your account, which stops everything and removes your data. All of it is removed within 24 hours, and we email you once when it is done (if that email fails, the deletion still happens).

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that is being used to attack the service or to harm other people; we will say why, unless the law stops us, and you can reply and be heard before the closure is final. If we shut the service down, we will email you at least 30 days before and delete everything the same way an account deletion does.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms takes away a right the law gives you as a consumer, and nothing limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit.

Beyond that, and because the service is a set of leads and not a promise of a job, we are not responsible for a role you did not get, a role we did not show you, an employer’s decision, or a mistake in a posting an employer published. Where we are responsible for a loss, our liability is limited to the greater of 100 euro and what you paid us in the twelve months before the loss, which during the preview is nothing. That limit never applies to a refund the law or the refunds page entitles you to.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms in a way that matters, we email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect and update the version date above. If you do not agree, cancel or delete your account before that date and we refund any paid period you have not used. Carrying on using the service after that date is agreeing to the new terms.

Complaints, law and courts

If something is wrong, write to us first, and a person will answer. We are not signed up to any alternative dispute resolution body. If we cannot settle your complaint, we will tell you in writing which dispute resolution body could hear it and whether we will take part. In Ireland you can also contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission; in the UK, Citizens Advice.

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland and its courts. If you live in the UK, you keep the protection of the consumer law of the UK and can bring a claim in your own courts.
